End of Week 3

Hey all!

First off i would like to that Toilet Duck for the well needed kick in the arse to get some more posts up here! Cheers mate! Hadn't forgotten, just not had the time!

3 weeks are now finished on Vince Delmontes No Nonsense Muscle Building.

From a guy who is used to low reps the first few weeks have been really tough. I have not been over 15 reps on any exercise for as long as i remember! My muscles have been worked in ways that i have forgotten! Thank you Vince!

I have nothing but praise for this program so far. :)

My nutrition is still the determining factor in this program. Simply - i am not eating enough. That will be changing in week 4. The scale will start to go up, and i have a feeling i will need a new wardrobe.....I can't wait!

I am actually super pumped! I watched Strong today. Joe Defranco's mini documentory about his hardcore gym in the US. I have never seen anyone work as hard as those athletes - I really want to hit the gym as i type this! This week will be amazing!

I will post the measurements later this week.

End of Week 1 Measurements!

Ok After buying a new tape measure (and one that can fit round my shoulders) it is time to post up my measurements for the end of the first week of Vince Delmontes No Nonsense Muscle Building Program!

As you can see practically accross the board my stats have gone up, however, i believe this is mostly through human error rather than astounding progress after the first week. Either way the mirror doesnt lie - i am looking much more toned than normal.

After Vince's comment about my bodyfat (and me being unable to find my reader) I typed all the information needed into an online body fat calculator. It threw out 13% for both Day 0 and End of week one. Although i dont agree that i am 13%, i am higher, this will be a good place to measure from and to judge progress.

Still looking for that damn camera cable!

Untill next time!

End of Week 1!

********************
End of Week 1
********************

I have now completed the first week of Vince Delmonte’s No Nonsense Muscle Building Program!

What a week it has been!

My highlights include been kicked hard by tempos! You can make even 30kg seem like 60kg just by slowing the movement and concentrating on the muscle. This alone makes these workouts really special! Every one killed me in a different way!

You gotta love it!

The low points were by a long shot the 15 rep deadlifts! Oh man, the pain! Generally I don’t enjoy doing high rep Deadlift work. In my opinion there is way too much chance of messing up as you get tried and on an exercise where technique is vital 15 reps are way too much! The muscles around my lower back are still sore 3 days later!

Sorry Vince – but I might change that part of the workout!! Stick to low rep high weight!

I am not doing too well with pictures or measurements, which is annoying. Not only is the lead to the camera still missing but now the tape measure has gone walkabouts too and so has my Body fat reader! I really think someone is toying with me here!

Anyway I stepped onto the scale this morning and weighed in at 171bs – a 1lb loss from last week (Not a great deal). My diet, however, was quite bad throughout the week. That will all be changing this week so we should see a speedily decreased Body Fat percentage.

I will get both pictures and measurements up as soon as possible!

Don’t forget to comment!

Back to the Starting Line

I am now on Day 03 of Vince Delmonte’s No Nonsense Muscle Building Program. Yes, you read that correctly – Day 03.

After returning from Alicante (Spain) I decided that the best form of action is to start over. After all, I really didn’t think it through having a holiday after the first week did I?

I do have a picture for you, taken on holiday. I am actually surprised I am going to post it as I absolutely hate it and find it embarrassing compared to what I used to look like.

Ah well, here it is:

Back to the workouts!

Technically this was my second week with No Nonsense Muscle Building and being quite frank it got no easier. It pushed me right to my limit on nearly all the exercises – to the point when I mind was questioning whether I should give up, drop the bar and collapse in a heap on the floor!

I loved it!

The funny thing is compared to what I usually lift these weights are just peanuts. But Vince’s method is new and one hell of a shock to my system!

Obviously I cannot tell you what was in the program, you will have to buy it yourself to see that, but I can already feel it working. Today I feel amazing! I cannot wait for the next session or to see where I am after 12 weeks, let alone 24! :)

My measurements from last week still stand (due to my holiday) so I will post updated ones either Sunday Morning or Monday Morning depending when I have time.

Let’s do this!

End of Week 1 - and the Holiday to come!

Hey --

What a week huh? I will tell you what i am really enjoying these workouts. Vince has got me working hard! And i think that is an understatement!

It has been very unfortunate that i have been unable to perform lower body work due to the sprain in my ankle. The good news is that my ankle is now much much better. Walking is no longer a problem and neither are stairs. I even managed a small run the other day with my brother.

Next week I will be unable to perfrom No-Nonsense Muscle Building as i am off on holiday to Spain. I will, however, still be working out. I plan on completing some bodyweight exercises. Unfortunatly all my ebooks and other training materials are at work where i will not be untill next monday. So these may be made up on the spot.

I am still looking for that damn computer cable. I may need to buy a new one. If i have time today whilst packing and enjoying a rather large easter dinner i will upload the latest measurements.

Overall i feel more toned than last week, and also more alive. Its an odd feeling sitting here feeling more alive than i have in a long time. I am really really enjoying this.

How is everyone elses workouts going?

Hope your having as much fun as i am!

Sean Ryan

PS. Dont forget to check out Vince's No Nonsense Muscle Building program. It has only been one week, but i can tell i am going to get amazing results from it.

Damn! I have not been so tired in a long time!!

Well it was 4:33pm after a looooooong day of work and I rushed into the gym not knowing what to expect. To say it lightly it blew me away!

I was shattered!!

I have not used some of the techniques that Vince uses in a long time. I was pleasently suprised -- shocked in fact, at how hard it was!

Every muscle worked was sore as anything. I haven't felt that worked for a very long time.

I am able to increase the weight on a few of the exercises next week, but it was tough. Keeping to the tempo and reps was a challenge in itself.

So far so good guys!

Speaking of which Vince contacted me today letting me know about a deal he has going on from 12pm (Midday on the 7th April 2009).

He has just released 480 copies of his No-Nonsense Muscle Building and Six-Pack DVD series. He calls this his complete muscle-shredding, belly-busting, ad-sharpening solution to a world class body.

It is the same program that he used to gain 41lbs of pure muscle in just 6 months!!! He has also included the program that then helped him cut 23lbs of fat in 10 weeks to then become the National Fitness Model Champion.

He does warn me though - it is not for the faint of heart. This program will get the best out of you but it won't be easy!!

Interested or not i think you should check it out: http://tinyurl.com/de9wt8 You won't be dissapointed.

Oh, you better hurry as well. There are only 480 copies and i imagine they will be going fast! Every fitness author Vince talks to (Me included) will be telling people about this.

Back to me and the program. I am still to update the measurements, as you can see i have the table uploaded but it is still empty. I will get round to this when i have a change. I am also still looking for my camera lead - no idea where this one went!

Thanks for the support so far guys - appreciated!

Until next time!

Day 0 – The Start to a long journey

Well here we are guys, Day 0 of Vince Delmonte's No Nonsense Muscle Building. The first day of the rest of my life, the journey that can and will change my life and completely re-write my fitness forever.

A bit optimistic?

Perhaps.

But that’s me. If I am going to do something I will make sure I believe 100% in my abilities to do it. Like with testing this program. I know full well that it is not a sprint. It is a marathon.

A 52 week marathon.

Patience is most defiantly a virtue here because lets face it – we wont know what happens until it happens.

How much can I gain?

What will happen to my body fat?

Will I get stronger?

Will I lift bigger weights?

Who knows?! I sure don’t!

Despite all the uncertainty I have been in deep thought and decided on a few goals to add to my MAGIC Hundred list to keep me motivated and moving forward at a steady rate.

è To gain a minimum of 1/2lb Lean Muscle Mass per week
è After 52 weeks I will weigh in at 210lbs (38lb gain needed)
è Drop my body fat to 10% by the time the program is completed
è To lift 100kg on Bench Press by the time the program is up
è To lift 1.5xBW on Squat by the time the program is up
è To lift 2xBW on Deadlift by the time the program is up.

I think everyone can agree that these are some quite decent and relatively realistic goals to strive for. I have faith in my abilities to make all these come true.

Ok time to talk about the program.

I have spent all weekend looking over this, the various exercises, the tempos, the sets and reps. There are a few exercises that I am unable to perform due to lack of equipment.

As I am using my own guy there are certain things that I do not own – but for good reason. All exercises that I cannot perform can be mimicked using other equipment or there is an alternative exercise.

I explained in my first post that I managed to sprain my ankle, well, this still isn’t healed and still giving me a lot of grief. However this will not stop me hitting the gym. A lot of people have called me mad for this.

I will not be performing leg work until my ankle is healed, however I will continue trying. I am constantly trying to speed up the recovery time and so far I think I am doing very well. Shouldn’t take too long.

I said I will start No Nonsense Muscle Building on April 6th 2009 and I will be. I have taken measurements that I will post up when I have written them up properly and I have also taken before pictures that I will post up when I find the camera cable (trust me to lose it).
